LEAD has completed the erection of the new Pedestrian Bridge at the state of the art Golden Glades Multimodal Transportation Facility project being performed for the FDOT and MDTPW. The pedestrian bridge provides direct connectivity from the new Parking Garage to the existing Tri Rail Station. The bridge is supported by 3 cast in place concrete piers and has a total of two structural steel spans with lengths of 134’ (90,000 LBS – 3 pieces spliced on site) and 113’ (76,000 LBS – 2 pieces spliced on site). Kudos to the project team led by Graham Smith for completing this operation safely and without a glitch!

LEAD has completed another successful project for the FDOT D4 and the South Florida community! The LEAD project team, led by Uriel Lombardo, worked hand in hand with the FDOT team to deliver the bridge replacements and improvements of NW 136th Avenue at SR 84 Intersection Improvements in Sunrise, FL. The project was completed ahead of schedule while maintaining safe vehicular traffic and obtained an optimum CPPR score. Well Done!

LEAD is making solid progress on the FDOT District 4 I-95 / Copans Road Interchange Improvements project in Pompano Beach, FL. The improvements under this contract consist of reconstruction, widening, milling and resurfacing, bridge widening, sidewalk, drainage improvements including curb and gutter, shoulder gutter and storm water ponds, pipe desilting, construction of noise walls, retaining walls, pier protection barrier walls, express lane delineators, installation of ITS conduits and equipment, signing and pavement markings, vehicle detection, ITS cameras, lighting, landscaping and interchange modification of on and off ramps along SR 9 (I-95). The LEAD team is working through the challenges with the FDOT team and on track to deliver another successful project!

LEAD has successfully completed the FDOT District 6 US-1 project to perform roadway safety upgrades, drainage improvements and signalization along US 1 and the Metrorail Corridor in Miami, FL. Excited to announce that LEAD Engineering Contractors has been awarded the $18M Underline Phase 2 Design Build project by the Miami Dade Department of Transportation and Public Works. The Underline will transform underutilized land below Miami’s MetroRail to connect communities, improve pedestrian and bicyclist safety, create open space with restored natural habitats, encourage a healthy lifestyle, provide an easily accessible place to exercise, create a mobility corridor that integrates transit, car, biking and walking, and a canvas for artistic expression that will attract development along US1, and generate significant economic impact. The LEAD team, including prime designer A&P Consultant Transportation Engineers, subconsultants and subcontractors, look forward to working with MDTPW, The Friends of the Underline and all stakeholders to deliver a world class facility to our community.

LEAD has completed another successful project for the FDOT D6 and the South Florida community! The LEAD project team led by Frank Serrano and Mario Jimenez worked hand in hand with the FDOT team, led by Ivan Hay and Dru Bardi, and with the BPA team, led by John Bolton, to deliver this 2020 FTBA Best in Construction award winning project to repair and rehabilitate the MacArthur Causeway Bridge. LEAD delivered another successful project for our client, the Florida Department of Transportation. Lead Engineering Contractors, LLC completed the FDOT District 6 Alton Road Improvements project ahead of schedule to obtain the maximum incentive bonus while delivering the best service (CPPR = 104) for our client and for the residents of the City of Miami Beach.
